TNF SPECIAL: BUCCOS FTW

I am going to try and post a seperate write-up and pick for each Prime Time game seperately from The Weekly Muck 5. Tonight I was working late so I will keep this short and sweet because kickoff is upon us!

***TAMPA BAY BUCANEERS +7***

Bottom line here is that I have been LOVING this play all week, almost to a point where it makes me nervous and it seems to good to be true. However, with the public smushing ATL it calms me down and reassures me that I am on the right side of the field here on this one. I know ATL is very strong at home, however this game kind of reminds me of last season when the then crappy NY Jets went into ATL and absolutely dominated the Falcons on prime time football. I believe it was MNF to be exact but I could be wrong there. ATL used to be GREAT at home while defending the dome when they were a playoff caliber team going back two seasons ago now when they lost the Niners in the NFC Championship. It has been ever since that Jet game in particular last season, that they haven't been the same since. That was a straight up embarassing beatdown by a team who was viewed as not even close to as good as ATL at that time. Now Tampa with an 0-2 start this season, I feel as though this is a similar scenario. After that game Julio went down with a season ending injury and so did the rest of the Falcon's season. They ended up actually flipping the script and were considered one of the worst teams in the league by the end of the season. The Falcons biggest weakness (their defense) was completely exploited for the remainder of the season. That being said, I don't think much has changed since last season to improve it. The positives are that they began the season mostly healthy with Julio Jones back on the field which is crucial to their success on offense. They also did squeak out an impressive win at home against the Saints which lets face it, was their Super Bowl. So they managed to get the job done suprisingly but as we can see, the Saints are having a tough time on the road to start the season losing to the Browns in week 2. I don't want to pat myself on the back there but I did pick Cleveland in that one, heheh. The Saints will surely bounce back this weekend and dominate Minnesota at home, but Swamper will get to that one this weekend. The point is, the Saints aren't playing their best ball so far this season and the Falcon win over them may have looked better then it actually was.

As I was saying, ATL still has no defense and zero pass rush, absolutely none. I believe they are yet to even record a single sack so far this season. That being said, McCown I know has looked like crap this season so far in both games. In his defense he has faced probably two of the toughest front sevens in the league in Carolina and St. Louis. This game he will have all day to throw and has the biggest targets to hit in WR veteran Vincent Jackson and stud rookie Mike Evans, or as Warren Sapp refers to them as, "The Duncaneers!" I look for them both to have a HUGE game tonight and completely put on a show for the NFL to stop and say "Wow! The Bucs aren't as bad as we thought they were and this rookie Evans is the real deal, and lastly Holy Moly! What a combination him and Vinny Jack make!" I just heard as I am writing this that Doug Martin is out, okay so what is what I have to say to that! My man Rainey has proved he is just as capable of holding down the backfield and I know the Buc's best defensive lineman Gerald McCoy is out as well on defense. Yea this is a big hit to the DLine but I think the Bucs sitting at 0-2 going into a division rival's house will be JACKED up for tonight to take advantage of that poor Falcon offensive line and melt some Matty Ice baby! The Falcons don't have much of a run game at all, Stephen Jackson has turned into the softest RB in the league and Davonta Freeman and Jaquizz Rodgers I like, but are nothing to be scared of and that the Bucs can't handle. The Bucs safetys are some big boys who LOVE to lay the boom and will be hitting out there against their rivals 100%! Now throw in the fact that Roddy White is not playing and Julio 'aint 100%.....OH BOY I SMELL AN UPSET!

Kickoff is coming so I will just end this by saying Matty is missing Tony G BIG time and the Bucs are going to shock the NFL tonight and look more like the team that I anticipated them and predicted them to be this season. Bucs FTW!

PS- Tomorrow is supposedly national Pirate Day or something like that ...... come on man really?! ARRGHHHHHHHH GIVE ME DA BUCCOOHHZZZZZZZ FOR THE COVER AND WIN MATEYYY!!!!!!
