SWAMPY SPECIAL MNF: WASH SKINZZZZ -3

AHHH gotta love it baby!! DEEHH DEEEHHH DEEEHHH DEHHHHHHHHHH!!!! In case you didn't know, that was my type rendition of that infamous Monday Night Football jingle that I know all of you like myself, love oh so much! Tonight we have a GREAT divisional NFC East matchup to sink our teeth into. After watching what the Skins vs Philly matchup had in store for us last Sunday, what better?!

The Mighty Mighty Gmen seem to have found their way a bit finally late in game 3 against an undefeated Houston Texan team at home in NJ and were able to pull out their first dubbya despite playing like the bad news bears during the first half of the game. After much Tom Coughlin yelling and screaming I would imagine at halftime, they were able to string together some offense for once and Eli was able to connect with Cruz a bit who decided to finally try catching the ball for the first time this season and got his salsa on for the first time this year as well. This opened up the run game which is the key to success for the Gmen to win. Hence why I see them having some trouble tonight.

They head into Washington where they face a pissed off battered and bruised Redskin team that just went through one hell of a battle on Sunday against another divisional foe, the Philadelphia Eagles. Normally I would say this is a terrible spot for the Skins having only a few days after a draining game and long overtime game like that to have to defend their home field in a Prime Time spot against another rival. However, I think this is the perfect medicine for them in this case. They have the chance to quickly put the Philly game behind them and get on a good note by beating the Gmen at home and changing the tune of things for themselves and the rest of Redskin Nation. You better believe that they want this more than anything and DO NOT want to drop two games in a row to none other than two rivals who are all battling for an up for grabs Division title. The Skins simply cannot afford to lose this game. The same can be said for the Gmen starting the season 0-2 and only getting their first win last weekend. I just think that the Giants managed to catch the Texans in a bad spot. They underestimated the Giants, were without their top weapon RB Arian Foster, and coming off of a BLOWOUT win in Oakland. They were straight up snoozing during this game and the Giants still begged them and still did just about everything to allow them to win. It wasn't until the end of the game that the Giants woke up and started rolling to put up some points and get the job done. If they were to drop that game their season would've ended right there and they never would've been able to hear the end of it, especially in NY/NJ.

This has everyone fooled that the Gmen are back and that they can hang with the Skins here tonight. The fact of the matter is, QB Kirk Cousins is and always has been the better NFL QB for the Redskins and RG3 has already lost his job. I am a firm believer and have always said that Kirk needs to be the Skin's starter or at least be traded to be somebody elses because he has what it takes. The man is a pure pocket passer with great presence and is smart, calm, and makes great decisions under pressure. If you ask me I think that Jerry Jones will snatch up RG3 somehow in the future and he may have success for Dallas and be a marketing machine like he was for Washington one day down the line. Cousins is about to take this team on a run and they are about to string together some wins where he can't be denied, starting tonight. This place will be rocking and that defense will shut down the Giant's running game, forcing Eli to pass the ball and until they get their rookie WR Beckham in the lineup to help out Cruz and Randle, they are in trouble. Kerrigan and Orakpo will be in Eli's face tonight and I foresee a couple of turnovers and more of the Giants we saw for the first two and a half games tonight to dissapoint their fans and make them talk about them all week long asking "what the hell is the matter with them?" As is the case so often. ( I live and am from NJ, I know this all too well) The Skins have a great running game and a lot of weapons on the WR and TE end of things and Cousins will have enough time to pick the Giant defense apart tonight. He spreads the ball and distributes his passes so well that the Giants won't be able to cover everyone. It is simple, Washington will put up enough points and the Giants won't be able to come back. This is the beginning of Captain Kirk's reign as the Skin QB! Skins get the win at home on MNF, -3!
