SWAMPDINI MNF MAGIC: ***SEATTLE SEAHAWKS -7***

WHAT A DAY yesterday in the Swamp!!! Holy moly I mean really. Topped it off with a cherry on top AKA the New England Patriots which completed the SwampMan's vision that he had and brought it to life 100%. They got smacked up by the Chefs, and then served up big bad Cincy their first loss a week later. That's the NFL for ya. One crazy flippity floppity rollercoaster ride. It gets pretty crazy at time and that is what makes it so fun and entertaining. Expect the unexpected! You just never know what is going to happen next, or do ya? Heheh, Swampy sure felt like a fortune teller yesterday I will tell ya that much. Tonight's game I do not like one bit. Nope, not one bit. It is a toughie as we have the Super Bowl Champs coming off a bye week and traveling to Washington to take on a wounded and desperate Washington Redskins team who have their backs against the wall. Normally I LOVE a team in this spot, when I know they will come out and give MAXIMUM effort, at home, as a big dawgie, on prime time football. However, I STILL don't think it will be enough tonight. Unfortunately for the Skins, they just do not have enough firepower on the defensive side of the ball to get the job done tonight.

Although I do expect a solid, very good gameplan to be executed by Washington, I just think that despite this, they still lose by double digits. I can definitely see the Hawks coming out slow and taking a bit to get into the groove of things tonight as we saw many teams do this weekend coming out of their bye weeks. Especially because Pete Carroll went ahead and admitted that he gave team a whole week off to relax. I can see them being a bit lazy to start the game and having a hard time getting amped to take a on a team that they most likely view as way below their level. That being said, the Skins are going to pull out all the stops tonight to try and get the job done at home. I foresee some trickery and desperate plays that could go wrong and burn them but they need to take that chance as it is the only one that they have. Cousins will have a much better game tonight than he did against the Giants but the Skins WR core just doesn't matchup well against the Hawks. Desean Jackson is going to be like a little rodent running through that Hawk secondary and is lucky if he doesn't get his head taken off tonight by Chancellor. He will be running scared as Pierre Garcon will do his thing and hold his own, I'm sure he will get into a scuffle or two with the Legion of Boom. The Skins run game will also be ineffective against the Hawk defense which is Washington's bread and butter, so needless to say, they are in trouble tonight. Once and IF the Skins go up early or keep this thing close with a valiant effort in the first half, which I actually think that they do, the Hawks will wake up at halftime and turn on the switch to shut them out in the second half and win by 10 in the end. The Skins will struggle very much to score and this will be a FG game as I expect the Hawks to pound the rock all game with BEASTMODE Marshawn Lynch. If Wilson were an immobile pocket passer I would give the Skins more of a chance on defense to get in his face and make some mistakes take place. That rhymed! However Wilson is just too smart and elusive to let that happen and will escape the effective pass rush from Orakpo and Kerrigan, because I am certain that those guys and their buddies will be giving it everything they got tonight. Unfortunately as I mentioned, this will just not be enough as their secondary is wounded and nonexistant. Eli picked these guys apart and they could not cover anybody. Wilson will do the same when he drops back. So in a nutshell, the Skins give it all they got tonight and hang around for a half, but to no avail, lose by 10 in the end in very low scoring, somewhat boring game dominated and controlled thoroughly by the Hawks. Seattle -7!
