THIRSTY THURSDAY SWAMPY SAYS TURN DOWN FOR WATT?!?! ***HOUSTON TEXANS +3***

Well well well ladies and germs, it is official!! The Swamp is on FIRE!!! Sound the alarms!!! After a couple of weeks of heating up slowly but surely, we have officially taken off! I have just written this article and it was deleted again, UGHHH So I am now in a rush and here comes the abbreviated version: Tonight we have a great game on tap for once for a Thursday Nighter. I mean it has been nothing but blowouts thus far on the TNF big stage. However this one has all the makings of a good one finally. We have one of the best QBs in the game in Andrew Luck leading his ponys into battle in Houston with freakazoid defensive animal, JJ Watt and his Texans. Freakazoid is a btt of an understatement. I mean really come on, is that a defensive end (above) or Rocky Balboa?! Sheesh....

It is no secret that Andrew Luck is one of the game's best QBs. Probably the best out of the young generation. He is the most complete and consistent of the bunch. The Colts have been dominant thus far this season. Andrew Luck has been stellar in the passing game and putting on a show for us through the first couple of weeks. Last weekend the Colts took out the Baltimore Ravens at home in Indy in a very close game. Their offense was a bit stymied in this one to my suprise which tipped me off a bit for tonight's game. The Colt defense is average at best and nothing to be scared of although they have been playing well and did play above their potential last weekend against Flacco and co. I think they get knocked back down to Earth a bit tonight off the short week facing another physical team. The Texans on the other hand fell short and lost "The Battle of Texas" last weekend against the Cowboys in Dallas. The Cowboys have proven to be one of the league's top teams so far this season and this game needed another period to be decided as the 'Boys kicked a FG in overtime to get it done. The Texans however I think found themselves a bit more offensively and know what they have to do and the way they have to play in order to be effective and be successful. It just so happens to be the exact style of play that they need to utilize tonight against Luck and the Colts. The Texans need to do what they do best and pound the rock with their stud RB Arian Foster who looked to be finally healthy and back to form last weekend which is HUGE for them as they been really missing his presence in the backfield. Unlike most teams their backup isn't really one who is any good, Alfred Blue...more like Alfred Who??? Yeah forget em. Foster is back and looing good. They need to run run and run him some more against the weak and beat up Colt defense which will then open up the short passing game. Notice I say SHORT passing game with their duo of dangerous WRs in veteran stud Andre Johnson and young but quick DeAndre Hopkins. I say short passing game because the key to tonight's offense for Houston is to complete long and strenuous dragged out drives that result in points of course but more importantly, keep Andrew Luck on the sideline and off the battlefield where he can't hurt you.

Andrew Luck is a farm animal and super talented, that is no secret. It will be fun to watch one farm animal go against another as Luck will have JJ Watt in his face all night long. Unfortunately for Luck with as good as he is, he can't do everything by himself. I know he has a lot of weapons at his disposal, but none of that matters when you can't get the ball out clean and effectively without getting SMACKED and CRACKED right after releasing the ball. I know Luck is as tough as nails but I don't care who you are, that is going to have an effect on his play and bother him throughout the game. You try standing firm in the pocket and keeping focus while you hear JJ Watt's warcry in the short distance getting louder and louder meaning he is getting closer and closer with intentions to end your life, and not being rattled. YEA OKAY, that's what I thought. Luck usually eats the hits up like the beast that he is and uses his feet as well as the boy can move and suprisingly fast for his size, but with Watt, Cushing, and up and coming young and mean safety DJ Swearinger laying the BOOM, he is going to take a big beating tonight. Off the short week where he already took a whooping against Suggs and the Ravens last weekend, he HAS to be hurting. This is going to impact his game tonight, there is no doubt in my mind about it. The man cannot be stopped, but he can be contained, and well, beat up.....and that is EXACTLY what Houston will come to do tonight. This place will be ROCKING! With their rival coming into town, on the big Prime Time stage, and first place in the division on the line, Houston will be AMPED and focused to the max to beat the Colts tonight. I believe that as long as Texan QB Fitzpatrick just hands the rock off, stays smart, and just manages the game by completing short and effective passes, they will put up enough points and win this one by stiflling the Colt offense in a big way tonight. Texans win this one in a low scoring affair. Houston +3 and for the win!
