WEEK 8 - PICKS OF THE WEEK

The “Swamper” putting the picks in early, can’t believe the NFL has gone global & there is a game in London, England. Blimey, a game to enjoy with your tea & crimpets….. Well here we go!!

***NEW YORK JETS -3 ***

Well what can I say, gotta stay with the green complexion Jets coming off a good showing with almost knocking off the Patriots last week. With the addition of speedster Percy Harvin hopefully giving the Gang Green a needed lift and the fans being excited for a possible deep threat….Look for Geno Smith to take advantage of his new weapon and go deep against a depleted Bill secondary……

***SAINT LOUIS RAMS +7***

Rams coming off big win against Seattle. Chiefs have been inconsistent with passing game and not sure if Jamal Charles is healthy. Ram Head Coach, Jeff Fisher breaking out all the stops with trick plays to try to get Ram attack headed in a consistent offensive attack…. The “Swamper” just with a feeling here that the Rams will show up and keep it close…..

***GREEN BAY PACKERS +2***

Packer offensive attack is playing at the top of their game snd Aaron Rodgers is having a MVP type caliber season. Usually very tough to beat Saints at home, however this just doesn’t seem to be there year. Saint defense has been playing very poor and Drew Brees is having a poor season, not measuring up to his usual standards. Hard to come in against a home underdog, however I believe Packers are playing very well right now, and playing against the depleted Saint defense, this game could get ugly real quick…..

***HOUSTON TEXANS -3***

Picking Texans here, because Titans starting a rookie quarterback against Texan defense and their dominating nose tackle JJ Watt. Even though Titans are home, look for rookie quarterback to be running scared from the very aggressive Texan defense. Also look for Texan running game to have a big day and eventually quarterback reins to be turned over to Ryan Mallet, because of poor play of Ryan Fitzpatrick…..

***SEATTLE SEAHAWKS -5***

Look for Seahawks to rebound from loss last week. The “Swamper looks for them to explode with the “beastmode” to play with extra exuberance to get his team back on track. Panthers have been inconsistent getting the pigskin to the “promised land”, however you never know when Cam Newton will have one of his better games. That being said I believe Seahawks will roll, even though they are on the road. Look for Seattle to get back on track and start making a push towards the “big game again this year……
