***SWAMP DAWGIE DAWG GOBBLERS***

***CHICAGO BEARS +7***

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! First up we have a little divisonal appetizer to wet our whistles when DAAAA BERZ head into the Thanksgiving Turkeys themselves, the Detroit Lions. DAA BERZ will be trying to build off of two ugly wins, but wins nonetheless, against Minnesota and Tampa Bay their last two games while the Lions have dropped two straight tough games but to respectable foes in Arizona and New England. That being said although the Lions are home where they are much better, all the pressure lies on them this afternoon. DA BERZ will be looking to play spoiler and maybe even make a late season run at the playoffs by winning out, who knows. I highly doubt that with the injuries they have on defense, but I do see them bringing their all today and Chicago has a serious aresenal on offense to hang with anybody when playing well and pressure free. WRs Marshall & Jeffrey, RB Forte, and TE Bennett are extremely dangerous if QB Jay Cutler can just play like the "good Jay Cutler" and not the turnover prone, best player on the defense type of Jay Cutler. Detroit has one of the said best defenses in the league, however as Brady showed us, they can be picked apart slowly but surely if the ball is distributed quickly. The Lions defensive line is stacked, yet they have failed to register a sack in the last couple of games. I think Chicago Head Coach Trestman has a good gameplan today to put up some points and hang with Detroit because he knows it is going to be very hard to win this game if they allow the Lions to get rolling on the offensive side of the ball which let's face it, DA BERZ defense is pretty bad due to injuries and lack of playmakers. I personally think they luck out because they are facing a Lions team that is in a bit of an offensive funk and not themselves as of late and I believe that it may take them most of this game to find their swagger and get it back if they do at all. That being said I see DA BERZ keeping this one close making for a pretty good game to start us off right and sink our teeth into today!

Ah, another great division battle for us to feast on as we prep to inhale some good 'ol Turkey and America fights to stay awake in front of their televisions. Luckily this year, we have what should be a very entertaining battle during the meat

(no pun intended!) of the Thanksgiving trifecta of games between the Philly Birds and the Dallas Cowboys. Although Philly is on the road, I really think they are in a good spot here to take on a regressing Dallas team as of late. The Cowboys has been fortunate to squeak out a win against a Giants team last week who is on their last leg so to speak. The injury plagued Big Blue squad gave it their all in a valiant effort but just couldn't hold on to close out the game and had one too many mistakes preventing them from getting a much needed win. Dallas does not seem to be the same team ever since losing to a lowly Redskins team behind their third string QB a few Monday Night Footballs ago. They have shown weakness ever since and that they can be beaten. Philly on the other hand despite a brutal beating in Green Bay two weeks ago, took advantage of a poor Tennesee Titans team last week at home to get back on track. Bird QB Mark Sanchez AKA "Butt Fumble" as you know I love to refer to him as, will be facing his worst nightmare of the day the Butt Fumble itself was born two years ago. The Butt Fumble was the peak of his demise in New York and his career there was all downhill afterwards until he found new life in a backup role in Philly. The Football Gods have now granted him with a new opportunity to lead a very good and unique football team into the playoffs this season. Although I think he tends to choke in big games, the Cowboy defense doesn't scare me and I think he will do just fine tomorrow to redeem himself from the nightmare that is the infamous Butt Fumble. I don't think I can ever type Butt Fumble too many times by the way, it is too much fun. I am a fan of this Eagles ball hawking secondary, especially Malcolm Jenkins, this kid is a playmaker and I honestly can't believe New Orleans ever let him walk. Philly also is awesome at throwing crazy blitz packages at offenses and somebody like Romo will turn the ball over when under sever pressure. That being said, I think the Eagles focus on stopping Murray and will be able to score on the Dallas defense at will and quickly, Chip Kelly style. They will be too much to handle and will be rolling on all cylinders tomorrow, there is simply too much speed for this Cowboy secondary. As a result when Dallas is forced to eventually abandon the run, Philly will pin their ears back and come after Romo and cause a couple of interceptions. November was never Romo's month and I see them starting to struggle a bit down the stretch. That being said I am all about the Birds on this Thanksgiving.

Aaaaannnnnnd for dessert, I'll have the Super Bowl Champs on the road in San Francisco! Simply put, these teams hate eachother to the core. This will be a "slobberknocker" no doubt about it, and yes I just quoted good 'ol J.R . from the WWF! The fact is that these two teams are headed in opposite directions at the moment. Seattle opened a can of whoop ass last weekend at home to completely stifle the mighty Arizona Cardinals and looked more like the team who took the league by storm last year than they have in weeks. Ever since they traded Percy Harvin their offense has been stagnant and easy to figure out however Wilson seems to have finally decided that he will revert back to what worked for him in the beginning and won him the starting QB job, and that is the art of improvisation. Wilson is one of the best at making things happen on the fly and turning something out of nothing during the play. He will be under durress today for sure as the Niners have gotten stud DE Aldon Smith back who seems to already be in scary form and as a result of that, his teammates along the defensive front play better as well. The Niners defense has been very impressive to me considering all the big time injuries they have had to endure. I like them to play well here again tonight but will just get zero help from their struggling offense. Bottom line is I am taking the better QB here because these teams are extremely even and that is what it will most likely come down to. In a nutshell, although Kaepernick has all the talent in the world, I think he struggles to run a NFL offense and digest NFL defensive schemes, especially tough ones like the Seahawks will throw at him all game. That is why the Seahawks have always been his kryptonite, he can't seem to get over on them ever and runs around like a chicken with his head cutoff making consistent mistakes. My guess would be that the Niners will try to go back to running the ball as they should, but the Hawks know this and will be ready for it, forcing Kaepernick to beat them....and he won't. Wilson on the other hand has all the brains in the world and has your ideal mind for a NFL QB, he is mentally tough on top of it all and you can trust him to make the right and smart decision under pressure. I see him consistently getting them into field goal rang with the help of BEASTMODE RB Marshawn Lynch having a big game to get a win here and send the struggling Niners on their journey to eliminate themselves from the playoff picture tonight. I know some say the Niners are in a "revenge" spot here and have been looking ahead to this game the past week or two, hell maybe even the entire season, however that is why I think they overthink things and psych themselves out a bit at the same time. Meanwhile Hawk's Head Coach Pete Carroll has his team relaxed and confident to come in and take advantage of this by completely dominating the Niners. Carroll is a smart man and knows this is a must win for San Fran so by breaking them tonight both physically and mentally in their own house, SF will be psychologically screwed and have one tall task in front of them when heading to Seattle to play the SeaBirds two weeks later. They will have that stigma of last year's defeat in the NFC championship in the final seconds in Seattle and also from tonight's loss oozing through them and that just may be way too much to get over, especially for a headcase like Kaepernick. Therefore, Swamp will have another Bird to close out Turkey Day right, have a good one everybody and enjoy the Holiday !
