***SWAMPFATHER TNF DENVER @ KC***

***DENVER BRONCOS @ KC CHIEFS***

The SwampMan is currently on vacation so this will be short and sweet! Off to a rough start despite a very promising couple of first halves last Sunday. Not sweating it one bit, the SwampMan was locked in this past Monday picking both dawgies to upset. However I was unable to post on my website and only posted my picks up on my favorite forum so they will go undocumented, no big deal. The important thing is that I bounced back immediately and plan on making up for the bloody Sunday in week 2! But first, let's snack on tonight's appetizer.

Tonight the Denver Ponys gallop into dreadful Kansas City where Peyton Manning has had lots of success since joining the Broncos.....that changes tonight. I foresee a Patriots/Chiefs type of MNF game from last year in store more for Manning tonight. Looks like it will be humid with some rain, and it is just Prime Time football night in KC, so basically...it will get ugly. LBs Justin Houston and Tamba Hali will feast on this terrible offensive line. The Broncos will try and establish the run game and will have no luck doing so, forcing Manning to pass early and often where he will get hit repeatedly and viciously in the pocket. There is speculation that Peyton has lost a step or two and his arm doesn't seem to be as strong, I think father time may be getting the best of him. Nonetheless the man is a warrior and will battle through it with the help of WR Demaryius Thomas, but I don't think it will be enough. The KC offense is very much improved with the addition of WR Jeremy Maclin. With a healthy RB Jamal Charles and stud TE Travis Kelce, QB Alex Smith has all he needs to play the part of an effective game manager and looked great last weekend doing so against a tough Texan defensive front. As I mentioned last week, Denver's defense will be what leads them this year with their new offensive scheme. They lucked out last week against the Ravens and tonight I think they get some of that humble pie served up nice and cold by those KC CHEFS! With that offensive line, Peyton and the ponies have a good 'ol fashion beatdown coming their way tonight from a division rival who will be feeding off their home field energy. PRetty much the Chiefs will be unleashing some pure hatred against a team that has dominated them the past few seasons while trying to esteablish a new hierarchy in the AFC West. That being said, SwampMAN over and out......KC -3!
