SWAMPNATION SUNDAY WEEK 4 - MUCK 5

WHADDDYA KNOW?! ANOTHER DAWG DAY IN THE SWAMP, LET'S GO!

***OAKLAND RAIDERS @ CHICAGO BEARS***

DA RRRRAIIIIIDERS are off a huge road win in Cleveland where they looked like studs. Everything seemed to be clicking for these guys both through the air and on the ground. I think they are in a bit of a letdown spot here as they head into Chicago to face a wounded Bears team who are still hungry for their first win. Bears QB Jay Cutler looks like he will get the start today after being out with a hamstring injury last weekend. After a very rough start to the season facing the Packers, Cardinals, and Seahawks in a row, da Bears almost seem like they are already calling it a season. They have recently traded away some and it has been said that they are not finished making these type of moves either. That being said I can see these guys really showing up to kick some ass today at home and be at their best to play for their jobs so to speak or at least in an effort to catch the attention of other teams. I foresee a heavy dose of RB Matt Forte and TE Martellus Bennett having a day as well with Jay Cutler back slinging the rock. You can count on da Bears defense also kicking it up a notch here as Head Coach John Fox will surely scheme to slow down young Raider QB Derek Carr and the passing game. Da RRRAIIIIDERSSSSS offense has now caught the attention of the league and as the season goes on defenses will naturally adjust accordingly. I like da Bears young CB Kyle Fuller to slow down rookie beast WR Amari Cooper a bit and I just see this as one of those games that is under the radar where the ball bounces in Chicago's favor today and they suprise some people with an unlikely win. DA BEARS +3

***CAROLINA PANTHERS @ TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS***

I see this game as a mentor versus mentee matchup as Panther's QB Cam Newton faces off against division rival Rookie QB Jameis Winston and the Bucs in Tampa Bay. Although the Panthers are currently 3-0, I haven't been impressed thus far and think they have played much lesser teams. Frankly I do not see them as a top team and I love this spot for Tampa to get a win at home against them. Tampa gave their game away last weekend in Houston and I think they bounce back here at home. They have the speed on defense in their linebacking core to keep Cam's legs in check. Weather conditions call for this one to be a bit wet and I see Tampa RB Doug Martin coming alive a bit today and having himself a game. Bottom line is this is a divisional matchup of two teams that aren't much different from eachother and I see it being close either way but give the edge to Tampa being home and having more weapons on offense. TAMPA +3.

***KANSAS CITY CHIEFS @ CINCINATTI BENGALS***

The Chefs are off a short week after getting straight up embarassed in Green Bay last Monday Night. They did end up making a game out of it nonetheless once they found their groove but it was too little too late. I believe that KC is a much tougher team than their record states. Bengals QB Andy Dalton is having a great year, but he is also no Aaron Rodgers and I feel the KC pass rush will be a big time problem for him today. These guys are pissed, and so is their coach Andy Reid. You could feel the disgust in his post game press conference Monday Night and I gotta think that these guys probably can't wait to get back out on the field to take out their frustrations after two bad beats in a row and try to right the ship. This can be a huge win for them today beating a strong undefeated Cincy team on the road. That being said I think Reid will have a strong gameplan for these guys despite the short week. Jamal Charles will do his thing as I think he is too quick for these Cincy LBs. KC should also get a surge of energy on their defense getting CB Sean Smith back after suspension, they have missed him desperately. The Chefs will serve the hurt today and serve Cincy their first loss. CHEFSSSS +3.5

***JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS @ INDIANAPOLIS COLTS***

I liked the Jags a bit in this spot to begin with, and now that Colt's QB Andrew Luck is ruled out and old faithful Matt Hasselback is set to make the start, ya gotta love the Jags here. They are fresh off an embarassment in New England where the Pats took the poor young Jaggies out behind the woodshed and put them down early and continued to pour it on. Jacksonville is a young and talented team who I really am high on despite them getting blown out last week. I like their QB Blake Bortles as he reminds me a lot of Pittsburgh's Big Ben Rothlisberger. He has weapons on the outside and a solid young Rookie all purpose RB from Albama in TJ Yeldon. These guys could use a confidence building win and what better than to tee-off on your division rival and "big brother" so to speak. When you have the chance to step on your divisonal opponent when they are down, you take it. The way Andrew Luck gets abused due to his poor offensive line play, I got to imagine Matt Hasselback is in for a long afternoon, and he isn't nearly as durable in his old age as young Luck is to take those hits. Jacksonville Head Coach Gus Bradley is smart enough to know he has to take adavantage of this opporutnity and will have his guys ready to rock. Jaggies pick up the big W here....JAX +4

***MINNESOTA VIKINGS @ DENVER BRONCOS***

The defense of the Vikings has really caught my attention early on in the season. They are extremely solid and I think they go into Denver today and give the Broncos all they can handle. I feel as though Denver is overated and that their defense has been bailing out their offense so far which will only last so long. Minny will surely be motivated to get a big statement win today on the road and will be pinning the ears back to get to the 'ol Sherriff himself, Peyton Manning. I anticipate a brutal pass rush and Peyton getting rocked early and often. Teddy Bridgewater hasn't looked too strong so far this season but it is a damn good thing he has a freak like Adrian Peterson to hand the ball off to. AP will get his today and help wear down this stout Bronco defense. I see this one being closer than the points indicate and maybe even smell an upset here where the Pony's get their first L as the Vikings show the world they are a team to be wreckoned with in the NFL this year. PURPLE PEOPLE EATERS +6.5
