Sippin' my tea over here with some crumpets and I got my pinky out! I am not really a fan of these international games but I must say I do love a little appetizer before regular kickoff, now it really is an ENTIRE day full of football. By the end of SNF I feel like Dracula emerging from his cave. Today in London the beat up Buffalo BIlls take on the International veteran Jacksonville Jaggies. Erase the names on both of these squads and just for today, Jax is looking like the better team on paper in this one. The Bills are all kinds of injured in all the wrong places. I'll take Jags QB Blake Bortles AKA Big Ben Jr. over backup Bills QB EJ Manuel any day! Jacksonville is a young and talented team. Yes they look to be once again amongst the bottom of the league but they come and compete every game. Gus Bradley has his team hungry every week to try and steal a win and I believe they get it done today in London as the Bills are reeling while finding out slowly but surely that they are not who they thought, or who Rex told them they were. I sense a bit of a dysfunction early in Buffalo with a couple of losses, some key injuries, and a bye week on deck. They may be overlooking this young fiesty Jaguar squad here. These Jaguars are growing together week to week and with Blake 'Rothlisberger' Bortles at the helm, I trust in these guys to take advantage of this spot and put up some points on the big stage today. Rookie RB TJ Yeldon is a go and now they also have their big offseason acquisition TE Julius Thomas back in the mix and I think both of them have a great game. Not to mention the speedy deep threat WRs that Blake loves to air the rock out to in Hurns, Robinson, and Lee all playing.
I believe EJ Manuel will struggle today in his second start versus a jacked up Gus Bradley defense. The lack of weapons for Maneul will show and he will rely on a beat up RB LeSean McCoy and TE Charles Clay for the entire offense whom the Jags will key on. Please excuse the run-on sentences here but in a nutshell, this is basically a play on the Bills morale seeming to be very low at the moment, along with their coach saying all the wrong things, and a depletion of key starters due to injury, combined with having to travel to London and being all sorts of out of whack, and lastly combined with the idea of a bye week on deck, just has me thinking these guys will have a lack of motivation today and will not be fully focused/invested in this one. On the other hand you have a franchise who is on their third trip to London and have yet to win a game there, who values every game as a chance to win and will not be overlooking their opponent as it is a chance against a league percieved "top team." The Jaggies will be loose and will be pumped up to rellish the opportunity and show their stuff on national television. We will get a glimpse at the Jags of the future this morning.
