***SWAMPY SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER - NYJ @ DAL***

***NEW YORK JETS @ DALLAS COWBOYS***

Ooooooo Boy! The NFL has thrown us a late season bone with a little Saturday Night Special appetizer before the Holy Day, gotta love it! The playoff hopeful New York Jets head are on the road tonight in Dallas and they will face a dangerous Cowboys team. Dallas is all but ruled out of the postseason at this point. They are obviously in must-win mode but also need tremendous help from the other three teams in the NFC East. Needless to say, their playoff chances are pretty far-fetched. Therefore, after a dissapointing season due to some major injuries, tonight should serve as a last hoorah this year for a prideful organization. Without starting QB Tony Romo, this team has struggled greatly. However they do still have a lot of talent in many areas and are capable of beating a team if overlooked. The Jets are also in must-win mode with their chances a little more hopeful as they currently hold a Wildcard spot in the AFC but need PIttsburgh to drop a game or two as well. The Jets are a solid team who has been playing awesome lately, but against some average competition. I am not sold on the Jets enough to trust them on the road in a must win spot on the Prime Time stage like this one. The jets say they aren't going to overlook the Cowboys but with the Pats on deck next week, I think there is a strong chance that they may come out a little flat here. The Cowboys will be on the opposite wave length, playing at home and in the spotlight with their season pretty much over. I think the Cowboys will feed off the home energy and take out some year long frustrations on Gang Green. I really like NYJ QB Fitzpatrick, he has been living up to his nickname of "FitzMagic" and answering the bell while playing at an extremely high level in HUGE spots lately. That being said I think he is well overdue for some of that bad decision style play that we all seem to forget Fitzy is capable of. Expect DE Greg Hardy and the Dallas defensive line to be in Fitzpatrick's face early and often as they will be JACKED up for this one. Cowboy LB Sean Lee is a very underrated LB in the NFL and one of the best from sideline to sideline at stopping the run, I feel as if he will be keying on Jets RB Ivory in this one. On the other side of things, the Cowboys will no doubt try to pound the rock as it is mainly all they are capable of with the old veteran backup Matt Cassel at QB. The Jets have a great defensive front but the Cowboy offensive line is arguably the best in the league and I like them to to get after the Jets tonight and run the ball down their throats. This will also help open up some holes in the passing game for WRs like Dez Bryant and Cole Beasely in short crossing routes. Dez has not been getting his touches lately the past few games. We all know how much of a diva he is and that means he will be force fed in a big spot like this. Also, TE Jason Witten is and has always been the Dallas QB security blanket and will surely get his receptions on big third downs as well. Basically I like the Cowboys to come out playing loose here with a nothing to lose mentality and be up for the challenge of taking out a potential playoff team at home in front of the world. Jerry Jones wants this one badly, especially after getting OWNED on Thanksgiving. I smell an upset here! COWBOYS +3.
