***MNF IN THE SWAMP - WEEK 15 - DET @ NO***

***DETROIT LIONS @ NEW ORLEANS SAINTS***

The lowly Detroit Lions head into the Superdome tonight to take on the equally low New Orleans Saints on MNF. A rough year would be an understatement for the Lions as the 2015 season is one for them to quickly forget while falling victim to a couple of controversial calls that pretty much determined their season, twice! After an abysmal start to this year, the Lions were in position to get back on track a few times this year and failed at doing so, whether it was caused by controversial calls or not, the end result was final. Understandably, after their latest debacle on TNF two week ago when Aaron Rodgers completed a 60yd Hail Mary to win the game, a let down game on the road was in order. I smelt this from a mile away and had the Rams picked to beat Detroit last week in which they did. However tonight, on Prime Time football once again where besides Thanksgiving, the spotlight has not been so kind, I think they make an effort to get it right one more time. This Saints team has been playing better since digging deep to surge against their undefeated rival the Carolina Panthers and falling just short. They were able to go on the road and beat a playoff hopeful Tampa Bay Bucs team. However as the Rams showed us last week on TNF, the Bucs are a mess on defense at the moment making Case Keenum look like Tom Brady. That being said, I don't think Drew will have as much ease throwing the ball on the Lions tonight. I like Detroit DE Ziggy Ansah and Co. to get in Drew's face early and lay some hits on him. I also like the matchup between CB Darius Slay and Saints WR Brandin Cooks as I think Slay may be able to limit his production. On the other side of things as we all know the Saints defense is not very good, and I think Lion QB Matt Stafford will have a night for himself utilizing all his weapons and taking advantage of matchups with WR "Megatron" Calvin Johnson and dump offs to rookie RB Ameer Abdullah. I think the Lions control the game with their offense and play well tonight to steal one on the road that they can hang their hat on and feel good about as the season winds down. LIONS +2.5
